Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

What prices do your dresses start from and go up to?

Our collection starts at £1,800 and goes up to around £5,000.  You can view the price range per designer on each page.

How long are your appointments?

Our appointments last two hours, giving us plenty of time to get to know you and understand your vision for your special day. This allows you to browse our beautiful collection, try on a variety of dresses, and, of course, celebrate when you find ‘the one’.

We also have a 1 hour appointment for anyone wanting to try on our bridal minis.

What should I bring with me to my dress appointment?

Wearing nude or light-coloured underwear is helpful for your appointment. Shoes are available to borrow, but you’re welcome to bring your own wedding shoes, along with any accessories you plan to wear on your wedding day.

Is there parking available?

Onsite parking is available next to our boutique, free of charge.

How does payment work?

We kindly ask for payment in full at the time of purchase.

Do you offer alterations?

Edie is a recommended seamstress who works with us and visits the boutique for fittings. She is not employed by us, and you are under no obligation to use her, but we highly recommend her services.

How much should I budget for alterations?

A budget of around £500 is suggested for alterations. At your first fitting, Edie will provide a quote for the work required, and you can decide whether to proceed. If you choose to move forward, 50% is payable at the first fitting, with the balance due on collection.

Can children come to appointments?

We kindly ask that children do not attend appointments so you can fully relax and enjoy the experience. This also helps us maintain health and safety within the boutique. That being said, we do welcome your babies in arms too.

How long does it take to receive a wedding dress?

Most dresses take around 4–6 months from order to delivery, including time for alterations. We always recommend ordering early to allow for peace of mind and any last-minute tweaks.

Are wedding dresses true to size?

Bridal sizing often runs small. It’s normal to try on a larger size than your everyday clothes, and your gown will be expertly altered for a perfect fit.

Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?

Yes, we operate on an appointment only basis. At our Farnham boutique, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, private experience where one of our stylists will guide you through our collections and help you find your perfect dress.

How many people should I bring with me to my dress appointment?

We recommend bringing a small group of trusted friends or family members whose opinions you value. Too many voices can make the decision more overwhelming, so we suggest no more than three guests. Of course, it’s also completely fine to attend your appointment on your own.

Do you offer plus sized bridal gowns?

Yes, we carry a range of sizes and can often order larger sizes from our designers. Our priority is to make every bride feel confident and beautiful, whatever your shape. Explore the curve edit here.

What sizes are your samples?

Boutique samples range from UK6 to UK22, with most dresses in sizes 10, 12, and 14. Clips and other accessories are available to help you see how a dress might fit if it’s slightly too big or too small.

Can I take photos during my appointment?

Photos and videos are welcome during your appointment, but it’s best to use them for reference only rather than making a decision based on them. Camera phone images often don’t capture the dress accurately, especially if it hasn’t been fitted.

Do you offer accessories like veils and earrings?

Yes! We have a beautiful collection of veils and accessories that you can try on with your dress or purchase to complete your look.

Can I try on dresses from multiple designers in one appointment?

Absolutely. We encourage mixing and matching styles to find what suits you best. Our stylists will guide you through your options so you can make an informed choice.

How far in advance should I start wedding dress shopping?

It’s best to start shopping for your wedding dress at least 9–12 months before your wedding. This provides enough time for ordering, alterations, and any unexpected delays.

Are wedding dresses supposed to be tight?

Your dress should feel secure but never uncomfortable. Our expert seamstresses in Farnham ensure your gown fits perfectly while allowing you to move, sit, and dance with ease.
